Found this cafe in Whakatane. Best and largest milkshakes I have ever tasted. Really recommend this cafe. Food, coffee and service were great also. Wish they had a cafe on Christchurch.

I purchased a hot chocolate, ham croissant and a slice. The hot chocolate burnt my tongue. It was way too hot. I wondered about the milk as it seems to have left a foul taste in my mouth. I have not eaten the others yet due to my tongue being a bit sore at the moment.The service was great though. I would just like to see the hot drink not be scolding hot next time.

Great homely cafe with excellent coffee. The two men who work here are really friendly and helpful. The bacon and scrambled eggs are a decent price and cooked well. The atmosphere is cosy and comfy. It's nice to sit outside and people watch. Very friendly place for dog owners.

Stopped in for lunch.Nice range of food in cabinets. We had cheese rolls, cheese club sandwich, custard slice and a coffee shake and hot chocolate.Can't fault any. We came away full up and satisfied.Highly recommend.That staff were lovely and the cafe has a good indoor outdoor flow.

Very nice coffee, and great food. They roast their own beans and lavatories were clean.Only disappointment was the staff member who was closing-up shop far too early around us annoying us trying to hold a conversation and making us feel a bit unwelcome.

Had a perfect breakfast Sunday Morning. Great poached eggs bacon on one piece of toast made a good balance, bagel was great, coffee was fantastic. Loved it and all well priced.

A cosy coffee shop also providing breakfast, sandwiches and cakes roasting the coffee bean on site sitting outside in the sun or on an easy chair inside. Friendly staff and club sandwiches to die for, if you like the coffee so much you can buy coffee beans to take home, roasted whole or ground in sizes 400, 500 grm and 1 kg bags. Also dog friendly with water bowls and doggy titbit from staff. With Ample bike racks available for a coffee stop

The service was fantastic, the coffee was yum and I definitely recommend the club sandwiches. They are delicious. The staff are friendly and excellent. We had my grandbaby with us today and they were also very helpful with his needs.

Such a great little Cafe, friendly, very welcoming staff, great tasting food, well priced, large portions. Even though it was busy, breakfast and coffees came out quickly and hot!.Will definitely be back again soon.

Fresh smaller club sandwiches of 2 varieties, were fresh, beautiful and reasonably priced.Not often available, these days. I'd go out of my way to buy again. Coffee very good. Staff attentive and efficient even when the rain came down on outside covered seating.

Recently, we spent 10 days in Whakatane. Looking back, it feels like we spent a lot of our mornings having superb coffees (10 out of 10), rhubarb-apple crumble treats and reading our books (not the warmest or sunniest of days)—while most of the staff came out to play with our dog Layla after discussing who would give her her daily dog treats. As well as the quality service, we were made to feel at home. We miss you, guys, and Layla misses her morning coffee treats. Highly recommended!

Nice Cafe at the end of the Strand. Selection of seating including couches & easy chairs, indoor tables and outdoor seating under awnings. Good coffee & great selection of treats to go with it. There is also some stuff for kids in the form of high chairs & booster seats and a couple of boxes full of toys to keep litte hands occupied. They roast their own beans and have cool murals on the wall describing the process of producing coffee ☕.
